In an unexpected twist, BLACKPINK’s Lisa unveiled her own comic company just days before the launch of her eagerly awaited solo album, ALTER-EGO.
Lisa’s management agency, LLOUD, announced on Tuesday the release of a limited-edition comic book titled ALTER EGO: THE OFFICIAL COMIC, designed to complement the K-pop star’s debut solo album. The comic was produced by Lisa’s newly established company, Lalisa Comics, in collaboration with graphic novel publisher Zero Zero Entertainment, a company known for working with entertainment industry artists to create original content.
The 56-page comic features artwork inspired by Lisa’s upcoming album ALTER EGO, illustrated by Japanese artist MINOMIYABI. LLOUD released 100 signed copies of the comic, all of which were quickly pre-ordered. Unsigned copies are still available for purchase on the official website, lalisacomics.com.
What’s the Story About?
The comic introduces five unique characters—Roxi, Sunni, Kiki, Speedi, and Vixi—each embodying different aspects of Lisa’s personality. The narrative centers on Vixi, a tech prodigy who becomes the unexpected link connecting four extraordinary friends. When Vixi is trapped in a virtual reality nightmare by bullies, her friends must enter a digital battlefield to rescue her. The project has already sparked excitement among fans.
“Lalisa Comics sounds like an amazing venture! Can’t wait to see her unique stories and characters come to life!” one fan wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
The comic release is part of a broader promotional campaign for Lisa’s debut solo album, ALTER EGO, set to drop on February 28. The album will feature tracks like Rockstar, New Woman (featuring Rosalía), and Moonlit Floor.
This venture follows Lisa’s acting debut in the third season of HBO’s hit series The White Lotus. The K-pop icon plays Mook, a wellness coach and occasional performer at the White Lotus Thailand resort. Despite her initial nerves about taking on the role, Lisa’s performance has earned praise from both critics and co-stars.
